Once again, the digital distribution platform of Valve, Steam has established a new record of simultaneous users. The platform exceeded 29 million users to achieve a historical peak of 29,198,370, according to Steam public page with such metrics. This is not the first time that Steam manages to establish a new record of simultaneous users this month, but given the circumstances of this weekend specifically, it seems that this could last a little more.
First it is worth noting that the Steam DB third-party site actually registers the new historical peak as 29,201,174. It is not clear how and why there is a discrepancy between it and the official public numbers, but the data largely still count the same story. The number of simultaneous users seems to have fired so much thank you very much to PUBG: battlefields go free to play and the surprise release of the free version yu-gi-oh! Master Duel.
In general terms, in terms of what people are playing in Steam at this time, COUNTER STRIKE Offensive Global is maintained at the top of the group with 902,702 current players at the time of writing. Just below, and as usual, it is data 2 with a drop of 300,000 to the aforementioned PUBG: battlefields below that. Yu-gi-oh! Master Duel Follow PUBG: Battle Fields with another significant fall. The typical gang of popular video games continues with Apex Legends, Grand Theft Auto V, Rust, Monster Hunter Rise, Ark: Survival Evolved and Manager of football 2022 by completing the current top 10 in order.
As noted above, the new registration of simultaneous users for STEAM is established at 29,198,370 according to Steam’s public metrics. It had been established at 28,230,661 until today, although that number was only reached earlier this month and an earlier record was established on the previous weekend.
