Football European Champion Italy wants to apply as an organizer of the EM 2028 or 2032. “Before the UEFA Executive Session on March 20, we will introduce our candidacy, which is also open for 2032. We will examine one of the two options,” said Gabriele Gravina, boss of the Italian Association Figc. The candidacy could contribute to an acceleration of the renovation of Italian stadiums. Currently, the stadiums are modernized in Florence, Cagliari, Bologna and Bari. The most part of the towns in the possession of the communities have been in need of renovation for years.
