Around ten months after his last mandatory match as an active player (as a captain for Schalke 04), Huntelaar is back in professional football. The 38-year-old supports the technical director Gerry Hamstra at Ajax after the dismissal of Marc Overmars in February. From summer, Huntelaar is to attend courses to develop his role in management.
