The former football Bundesliga player Maik Franz is a new vice-president of the VDV, shared the player’s union. The 40-year-old was elected by the VDV Bureau as second vice president next to the former international Carsten Ramelow. President has been the former Bochumer Bundesliga player Florian Gothe since 1999. “I’ve already entered the VDV as a young player and knows how important cohesion and solidarity are especially in heavy times. I am very happy about my new job and will accept every duel here too,” Franz said.
