Many people are turning to video games while they are stuck at home. And why not? There is nothing more immersive than to be placed in a completely different world. I like going a little further, and I played with lots of city builders. The only thing better as a fantastic world is the one I can do myself. And among these worlds on which to lose, the best guy is the one who lies literally on another planet or in this case, the moon. I built supply lines on the largest moon of Saturn, Titan.

INDUSTRIES OF TITAN | New City and Factory Builder | #01 | Lets Play/Walkthrough

Titan industries takes place in a very distant future. How far are you asking for? Well, it s not about colonizing a hostile world because the colonies were already built! In a distant past, human civilization has risen and fell on Titan, and you settle in the ruins. This position industries of Titan in an increasing sub-genus of cities manufacturers: the post-apocalyptic genre. You are not only building, you have to explore the ruins, eliminate the old ones and recycle them to build something new. Is it a metaphor? Ask a poet. I am too busy developing artifacts to gain influence from the board.

Since there is all that knowledge behind the game, Titan industries is very specific and very elegant. There is a whole corporate hierarchy, colorful characters to meet, a volatile political situation and the history of a planetary system to learn. All of this is presented in a style that reminds me of some of the best work of the Colorist of comics Matt Wilson. The colors are deep, the contrast is bold and saturation is high, even when the mixture is low. This gives him an artistic style that hopes it will be timeless. With the very Blade Runner inspired music, Titan is a place where I am happy to escape.

Which is quite funny because Titan is a kind of dystopia. A ruthless corporate leadership council reigns, and they want to regularly affirm their power over you. There is an active rebellion, and you must crush the dissidents. The world is wrapped in an atmosphere of toxic pets. It s not a happy place.

But I love watching my little workers pick up minerals in their deposits. Titan industries also spends my most important test for a fun city builder. After playing for a few hours, all the small buildings you built gathered to form a pleasant skyline. You can not insulate when your job has gone from a collection of buildings to a fully functional city, but it is undeniably the case. It feels good.

So that s the aesthetic, which is great. And the mechanics? And the gameplay? Although it is presented differently, many of Titan Industries is the kind of thing you are used to. You have supply chains, workers and happiness, and a political screen. But a small innovation does industries of Titan feel different: you can go inside buildings.

Not all buildings, but your main structures can be entered. This is important because it must not only build a city, but you must also build inside these key structures. In a factory, you need to place the power outlet, the machines, the storage containers. Some buildings may shelter many other buildings, but their use complicates your supply chains. Your machines and bits and bobs are also all super strange shapes, and assemble them nicely is much more difficult than Tetris. The additional challenge of everything assembles is welcome. You want to maximize efficiency, but you also want everything is beautiful.

There is not really end of Party Industries of Titan again, but it s okay. It is anticipated access, and there is already a solid foundation for a single entrance in the genre. Construction is much more difficult than in comparable games and as your city grows, complexity becomes really difficult. However, it is worth looking at the extraterrestrial horizon that you have created for many hours and recognize that it is yours, and there are no others like it.

The phenomenon of early access makes the complete evaluation of Titan Industries a little difficult. Although beautiful to watch, listen and fun playing, it s certainly not something that could hold my attention very long in its current state. The high quality of what currently exists makes me optimistic for the upcoming game, but this promise is abstract. I would recommend Titan Industries. In other words, unless you want to please you with a beautiful cyberpunk aesthetic. Thank you for locked it on Cog connected. For incredible videos, go to our YouTube page here.
